Ambassador Johnny Young opening the ISP Education Fair

Ambassador Johnny Young opened the ISP Education Fair on April 15. One of a series of education fairs supported by the Embassy, the event gave Bahraini students and parents a chance to speak directly with representatives of US colleges and universities.
Poet and screenwriter Al Young highlighted the contributions of African Americans to the national culture as part of Black History Month in February. Young lectured at the University of Bahrain (above) and led a special session on African American poetry for the students of the American Studies Center (below). He was also interviewed by Bahrain Radio.
